Christmas Day 2007

Listening to Ryan Adams and Tim Hardin on my IPOD, eating some Swedish bread, drinking India Spice Tea, and feeling like today is just another day.
Instead of immersing myself in the holiday festivities, I'm officially an hour late, I'm here with my old friends; a keyboard and words. Oh yeah, and Shelby is keeping my feet warm.
My wish is to have all the people I love in one big room for one down home Italian meal. I would even cook. Instead I'm miles away from everyone. Instead of an hour, I ended up being 5 hours late. There was a smorgasboard of food; mussels, smoked salmon, lox, radishes and butter (so French), cucumbers, and stilton geese with Ginger and Mango. Oh wait, I did have a teaspoon of the hottest horseradish ever on walking out the door. When horseradish makes you tear up, you know you've found a good one.
I received The 50th Anniversary edition of On the Road today. Good old Jack!
